Dear Students!
I would like to draw your attention to a summer camp programme for the Ancestral Hunters in Somogy. We usually teach mechanical engineering BSc students in "Prefabrication Technologies" classes about the ancient prehistoric metallurgy, which is also presented in the camp. A video from a previous camp is available at the link below.
This year's 15th Ancient Ironworking Camp will be organised in Somogyfajsz from 7-12 July. The participation fee is estimated at 65.000,- HUF/person. This cost covers the infrastructure, location, food and ingredients, which will be provided by the Somogy Nature Conservation Organisation. For a limited number of people, accommodation is also provided in a hunting lodge 1.5 km from the camp site. However, when places are full, or on request, it will be possible to pitch a tent.
The exact programme will be based on previous years' programmes, which can be found at https://bucavasgyuro.net/index.html
Interested parties are kindly requested to register their interest by filling in the form below by 31 January: https://forms.office.com/e/P9AxqrwF6w
We will contact you after 31 January for application details.
All NJE colleagues (not only engineers!) can apply! Please contact me with any questions at kis.david@gamf.uni-neumann.hu
Best regards and good luck!
